Producing a series of images and nurturing an idea generally leads to other areas of discovery and inspiration. This image is the last in the Clusters series for the time being and is also the initial developmental stage for my next series of images. This Clusters series has been a truly enjoyable project, one that has had me studying the wonderment of (local) minutiae in our natural world and also observing the progression of flowering plants through spring into the summer months. It has also reminded me of the technical difficulties of macro photography.
One of my aims throughout this series has been to produce images containing subject matter that is, or as near as, circular. For me, the circle is the most harmonious shape and immediately sparks attraction. There’ll be more to come.
"Keep taking pictures."
